Hoda Ahmadi is a 32-year-old female director from Iran who plays the title role in her own movie. Six years ago, she moved to Tehran, Iran’s capital city, to take part in acting classes. She planned to participate in acting classes and work at the same time to make money.  The story of what happens in “Mahi” also happened to her in real life, but she gave up very quickly and decided to turn her experience into a short film instead.
